Synopsis & Notes: (via Voices that Carry Podcast)
On Co-Hosting duty this week is Henry Jasper from the Voices that Carry Podcast.
Before we jump into today’s topic of Men and the ways we struggle with our identity in Jesus, tell us the story of the Missional Man Podcast? (Why?, Vision, How your bring value, etc.)
Henry and I popped back and forth with a bare-knuckled honest conversion about the ways we have struggled with our identity in Jesus or common ways we have observed other men struggle. As for each we will offer encouragement on from the good news of who God says you are and how embracing that can transform your life. We tackle:
– Stop pretending to be someone we’re not, be real & man up. Authenticity is huge!
– False views of the Father.
– Only “wimps” follow Jesus. Surrendering to Jesus is “soft.” Being needy is “weak”
– Learn to recognize the voice of Jesus our Shepherd
– “Why can’t I do what Jesus did” Romans 7. Frustration with the battling sin.
I wrapped it up with an action item based on the discussion. Listen in to hear it!
